Growing up in a household filled with such musical talent it was hard for The Raskin brothers to escape the wonderful world of music. Being exposed to all their mother and fathers sheet music at such an early age, Logan and Roger would go on to learn all the musical classics their parents used to perform. They also would get the rare opportunity to go tour with their parents and actually get to perform with some of the orchestras that were used to accompany both their mother and father. It was clearly important to their parents to always keep the brothers surrounded by music and have musical outlets.

Roger Raskin, an identical twin, was born in the Doctors hospital in downtown New York City. Roger was one of three children raised in Queens New York by their mother who was a jazz singer and their father who was a Broadway performer. At a very young age Roger was taught music, singing, melody, harmony, and song. Ever since he could remember, his mother Judy would always sing in their home. Her voice was not only beautiful but soulfully soothing to the soul, and set a foundation for his life to be.

Music was always playing in the Raskin house. The only radio station the family ever listened to was WNEW AM. The music was amazing like Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Nancy Wilson, Billie Holiday, Johnny Mathis, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormey, Ray Charles, Al Jarreau, and many others.

Roger grew up watching his father perform on Broadway, and many other prestigious venues. He would travel on the road with his dad when he was a young boy to various tours and club dates. He loved watching his father perform. These were the moments where he would learn his dynamic stage presence and style. Then there was ROCK N ROLL! Given his first rock record at the age of 7 opened up a whole new can of "Whoop Ass" He knew he had to search deeper. Although to young Roger would sneak into rock clubs in lower Manhattan and it was these moments that would change his life forever... Roger played in bands and studied music through high school, wrote, composed and performed his first song the age of 8.

Roger Raskin is a talent to be reckoned with and a personality that brightly lights up a room and a stage with a sharp wit and a screamin' guitar....and I quote;

"I love Muscle cars and loud guitars, getting there first, 2nd sucks, fine wine, fine dine, hates to wait in line, vintage shops, 2 brothers, my mom and pops, and my dog Daisy she drives me crazy!

"The Bay City Rollers, New York Dolls, Blondi, The Who, The Ramones, The cars, etc etc etc...(that list is endless) G, A, C, & D chords. Serve & volley tennis. Love to the world. G-d bless you all. Hope you enjoy The Raskins…

Stay tuned.
